The Neshkoro Area Fire Department is all volunteer: a couple dozen neighbors, paid per call, running one station on South Main Street for the village and the country roads around it.

There are no career firefighters here and no full-time staff. The roster is a couple dozen paid-per-call volunteers: farmers, tradespeople, and parents who carry a pager and leave the dinner table when the tones drop.
One station, at 610 South Main Street, covers the Village of Neshkoro and the rural roads around it in Marquette County. When you call for help, the people who answer are the same people you see at the grocery, the ballfield, and the church potluck.
